Our founder, Mohammad Tajparast, was captivated by how these tiny microbes thrive while helping fuel the ongoing renewal of the environment. In studying them, he saw that nature had the answers to so many of our environmental challenges. This core belief is what drives BIOCHOSEN. We believe that by understanding and leveraging the elemental power of life, we can create revolutionary, renewable materials that power a truly circular and sustainable future.

We are developing innovative, biodegradable packaging materials from renewable organic resources, empowering manufacturers and brands to achieve their sustainability goals. Our driving force is the conviction that nature-inspired iterations can lead to scalable solutions for our most pressing problems.

The first material we are focusing on is single-use plastic. Most of the current single-use plastic used today is not designed with its imminent demise in mind. So, we end up with plastic clogging our oceans, land, and bodies. We are working with our partners to create new sustainable single-use plastic that not only provides the durability needed but also is fully biodegradable, allowing our material to be converted into new products or composted back into nature.

We are excited about the promise EcoChosen, our biodegradable plastic material, holds in providing a real, cost-effective alternative to traditional single-use plastic. Our approach in developing EcoChosen is unique and rooted in our scientific passion. We use cheap and abundant organic waste as a sustainable feedstock. We employ our proprietary patent-pending solution to convert the organic waste into EcoChosen that meets the rigors of today’s demands while leaving no trace when their usefulness is done.
