Massive Transformative Purpose You Say?
What's your sustainability moonshot? What's the Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP) that drives your mission to create a better planet?
At Biochosen, our MTP is the reason we exist: to empower the shift from petroleum-based packaging products to truly circular alternatives. We're tackling the single-use plastic problem first by working diligently to provide manufacturers and brands with real, cost-effective alternatives that are truly sustainable.
At the center of our solution is Ecochosen, an innovative, biodegradable packaging material. EcoChosen is made from organic waste, not petroleum or crops like corn or sugarcane.
Think of Ecochosen as upcycling. Instead of using petroleum or cultivated crops, we take organic byproducts from the agricultural industry that would otherwise end up in a landfill and transform them into valuable, useful packaging products.
As we strive to create new packaging solutions, we use our Circularity Standard as our guiding principle. Our Circularity Standard is comprised of three simple principles that make a huge impact:
Clean Start: Utilize only abundant organic waste as our sustainable feedstock.
Performance: Our bio-based materials are engineered to deliver the impressive strength and versatility that today's applications demand.
Reusable Finish: When its job is done, Ecochosen is designed to fully biodegrade, returning to the earth without leaving behind harmful microplastics or residues.
This isn't just a future concept; it's happening now. We're moving from the lab to the real world, collaborating with manufacturers to bring these viable solutions to life so customers can begin using them soon.
We aren't just creating better materials; we're building a sustainable future.

From Microbial Wonders to Sustainable Solutions: The BIOCHOSEN Origin Story
It all begins with an idea.
For us, sustainability isn’t just a goal; it’s a nature-inspired way of solving our environmental challenges.
When we look at the natural world around us, we see an ongoing circle of creation, use, and renewal at work. At the heart of this process is the mighty, tiny microbe. These microscopic organisms are the unsung heroes of our planet, playing a fundamental role in the ongoing renewal of the environment. These tiny, hidden actors of nature are the inspiration and silent partners of BIOCHOSEN.
Our founder, Mohammad Tajparast, was captivated by how these tiny microbes thrive while helping fuel the ongoing renewal of the environment. In studying them, he saw that nature had the answers to so many of our environmental challenges. This core belief is what drives BIOCHOSEN. We believe that by understanding and leveraging the elemental power of life, we can create revolutionary, renewable materials that power a truly circular and sustainable future.
We are developing innovative, biodegradable packaging materials from renewable organic resources, empowering manufacturers and brands to achieve their sustainability goals. Our driving force is the conviction that nature-inspired iterations can lead to scalable solutions for our most pressing problems.
The first material we are focusing on is single-use plastic. Most of the current single-use plastic used today is not designed with its imminent demise in mind. So, we end up with plastic clogging our oceans, land, and bodies. We are working with our partners to create new sustainable single-use plastic that not only provides the durability needed but also is fully biodegradable, allowing our material to be converted into new products or composted back into nature.
We are excited about the promise EcoChosen, our biodegradable plastic material, holds in providing a real, cost-effective alternative to traditional single-use plastic. Our approach in developing EcoChosen is unique and rooted in our scientific passion. We use cheap and abundant organic waste as a sustainable feedstock. We employ our proprietary patent-pending solution to convert the organic waste into EcoChosen that meets the rigors of today’s demands while leaving no trace when their usefulness is done.
We are excited to work with compounders and extruders to bring these viable and real solutions to life. Our partnership will offer brands real alternatives to traditional fossil fuel-based plastics. Nature may be our silent partner, but we hope you will be outspoken and involved. Join us today as we push the envelope of what is possible for nature-based sustainable packaging material. We are not just creating better materials; we are building a sustainable future.
